Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 separating one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 Till an appointed term, 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
