Recite unto them the story of Abraham: 69 when he said to his father and his people, 'What do you serve?' 70 They said: We worship idols, so we shall be their votaries. 71 'Do they hear you when you call on them' He asked. 72 “Or do they benefit you or harm you?” 73 They said, "No, but our fathers worshipped them." 74 Abraham said, "Have you really thought about what you have been worshipping, 75 Ye and your fathers of old? 76 "Verily! They are enemies to me, save the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists); 77 who created me, and Himself guides me, 78 He who gives me food and drink; 79 "And when I am ill, it is He who cures me. 80 Who will cause me to die and then will again restore me to life; 81 And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense." 82 My Lord, give me Judgment, and join me with the righteous, 83 and grant me the power to convey the truth unto those who will come after me, 84 and make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss; 85 Forgive me and my father: He was surely among those who went astray. 86 Do not degrade me on the Day when they are resurrected. 87 the Day when nothing will avail, neither wealth nor offspring, 88 Except him who comes to Allah with a heart free (from evil). 89 When Paradise shall be brought near to the God-fearing 90 And hell will be revealed for the astray. 91 And it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to worship 92 besides God? Can they help you or even help themselves?" 93 Then they shall be pitched into it, they and the perverse 94 Together with the hordes of Iblis. 95 And they will say while they dispute with one another, 96 By Allah, we were truly in a manifest error, 97 when we deemed you [false deities] equal to the Sustainer of all the worlds 98 It was the evildoers who led us astray, 99 and now we have none to intercede on our behalf, 100 Nor any sincere friend. 101 Were there for us a return, we would be of the believers. 102 In this there is evidence (of the truth), but many of them do not have any faith. 103 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 104
