Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Inevitable! (Day of Judgment). 1 What is the Inevitable Hour? 2 And what shall make thee know that which the Inevitable Calamity is. 3 The Thamud and 'Ad denied the consequential calamity. 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the lightning. 5 And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind 6 To which He subjected them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that thou mightest have seen men during it lying prostrate, as though they were stumps of palms ruined. 7 Do you see any vestige left of them now? 8 And Firaun, and those before him, and the dwellings that were inverted and thrown, had brought error. 9 They defied their Lord's messenger, so He seized them with an ever-tightening grip. 10 Lo, when the waters rose, We bore you in the running ship 11 That We might make it unto you an admonition, and that it might be retained by the retaining ears. 12 So when the Trumpet will be blown, with a sudden single blow. 13 And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing, 14 on that Day shall that indubitable event come to pass; 15 And the heaven will split asunder, for that day it will be frail. 16 And the angels shall be on the borders thereof; and on that Day eight shall bear over them the Throne of thy Lord. 17 That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 Now as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, he will exclaim: "Come you all!" Read this my record! 19 "I did really understand that my Account would (One Day) reach me!" 20 They will have a pleasant life 21 In a lofty Garden – 22 its fruits are near. 23 Eat and drink pleasantly for what you did beforehand in the days gone by. 24 But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record 25 and neither known this my account! 26 "I wish, would that it had been my end (death)! 27 My riches have not availed me, 28 Gone from me is my authority." 29 It will be said, “Seize him, and shackle him.” 30 and then let him enter Hell. 31 "Then fasten him with a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits!" 32 Surely he did not believe in Allah, the Great, 33 Nor he urged on others the feeding of the poor. 34 Today he shall have no loyal friend here, 35 neither any food saving foul pus, 36 "Which none do eat but those in sin." 37
