In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Hast thou not observed what wise thy Lord dealt with the fellows of the elephant? 1 Did He not bring their stratagem to naught, 2 And He sent against them birds in flocks. 3 which smote them with stone-hard blows of chastisement pre-ordained, 4 And made them like an empty field of stalks (of which the corn has been eaten up by cattle). 5
