Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
