Hizb 46

AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will you not then mind? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 we are they that give glory. 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
