I swear by that which ye see. 38 And that which ye see not. 39 Most surely, it is the Word brought by an honored Apostle, 40 not the speech of a poet. Little do you believe! 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer (or a foreteller), little is that you remember! 42 (It is) a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would have definitely taken revenge from him. 45 Then We would have cut from him the aorta. 46 And not one of you would have been able to stop (Us). 47 And most surely it is a reminder for those who guard (against evil). 48 And We certainly know that there are amongst you those that reject (it). 49 And verily it shall be an occasion of anguish unto the infidels. 50 for, verily, it is truth absolute! 51 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Almighty. 52
