Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
