Alshu'araa' 10 of 11

The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 What time Shu'aib said unto them: fear ye not? 177 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 Said they: "Thou art but one of the bewitched, 185 for thou art nothing but a mortal like ourselves! And behold, we think that thou art a consummate liar! 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
