And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning. 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 What, are your unbelievers better than those? Or have you an immunity in the Scrolls? 43 Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves"? 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness. 47 On the Day whereon they shall be dragged into the Fire upon their faces, it shall be said unto them: taste the touch of the Scorching. 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you in the past: So is there any one who will be warned? 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 in a sure abode, in the presence of a King Omnipotent. 55
