The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 in its long columns of flames. 9
True are the words of God the Almighty.
