And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?" 11 He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. 12 "My breast will be straitened. And my speech may not go (smoothly): so send unto Aaron. 13 They have charged me [with a crime] for which I am afraid they will kill me." 14 He said: "Certainly not! So go both of you with Our Signs. We shall be with you listening to everything. 15 So go you to Pharaoh, and say, "Verily, I am the Messenger of the Lord of all Being; 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 Is this then the blessing with which you reproach me, that you have the Children of Israel for worshipers' 22 Firon said: And what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced." 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 Moses said: "Even if I were to bring a Clear Sign to you?" 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 (No sooner had he said this than) Moses threw down his rod and behold, it was a veritable serpent, 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
