And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying): "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)! 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 And We bestowed on him his household and along with them the like thereof, out of mercy from us, and a remembrance unto men of understanding. 43 [And finally We told him:] "Now take in thy hand a small bunch of grass, and strike therewith, and thou wilt not break thine oath!" for, verily, We found him full of patience in adversity: how excellent a servant [of Ours,] who, behold, would always turn unto Us! 44 And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 And most surely they were with Us, of the elect, the best. 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This is a Reminder. The righteous shall have a good place to return to: 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 wherein they will recline, [and] wherein they may [freely] call for many a fruit and drink, 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 52 This is what you are promised for the day of reckoning. 53 this is Our unending provision' 54 All of this; but, for the proud there is an ill return. 55 Hell, in which they will burn. How vile a resting place! 56 There will be boiling water for them and cold, clammy, fetid drink to taste, 57 and other such torments. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people who rushed headlong [into sin] with you? No welcome to them! Verily, they [too] shall have to endure the fire!" 59 They say, 'No, it is you have no Welcome; you forwarded it for us; how evil a stablishment!' 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64
