Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
