The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
