Verily this is a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds: 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy for a few years more, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 on those who whisper hearsay in the ears of people; and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
