The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
