Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are verses of the Book of Wisdom 2 A guidance and a mercy for the well-doers: 3 for those who attend to their prayers and pay the zakat and who have firm faith in the Hereafter: 4 Those are upon guidance from their Lord; those are the prosperers. 5 (In an attempt to show that God's revelations are only ancient legends) some people pay for meaningless tales to draw others attention away from the Quran without knowledge and treat as a matter of fun. They will suffer a humiliating torment. 6 When Our revelations are recited to them, they turn back on their heels out of pride as if they did not hear them or their ears had been sealed off. Warn them of the painful torment. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 Therein they will be abiders: a true promise of Allah. And He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He has created the heavens without pillar as you can see, fixed the mountains on earth so that it may not shake you away, and settled therein all types of living creatures. We have sent down water from the sky and made all kinds of plants grow in gracious pairs. 10 this is God's creation. Show me then what those besides Him have created! The wrongdoers are in manifest error. 11
