Nay! By the moon 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 About the guilty: 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
