Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble scribes 11 They know all that you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
