The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
