T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
