۞ And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 'Behold, these are a small troop, 54 They are always harassing us. 55 We are warning all of you about them." 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 and their treasures and excellent dwellings. 58 As such we gave it to the Children of Israel. 59 The people of the Pharaoh pursued them at sunrise. 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 Musa said: by no means; verily with me is my Lord; He shall guide me. 62 Thereupon We inspired Moses thus: Strike the sea with thy staff!" - whereupon it parted, and each part appeared like a mountain vast. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
