Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 we are the rangers, 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
