Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; the Almighty, the Forgiving' 66 Say: It is tremendous tidings 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 “What did I know of the heavenly world, when the angels had disputed.” 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 When your Lord told the angels, "I will create a mortal out of clay, 71 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down making obeisance to him. 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed. 77 'My curse shall rest on you until the Day of Recompense' 78 He said, “My Lord! Therefore give me respite till the day when all will be raised.” 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 for an appointed time". 81 [Whereupon Iblis] said: "Then [I swear] by Thy very might: I shall most certainly beguile them all into grievous error 82 except those among them who are Your sincere worshipers' 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 That I shall fill hell with thee and with such of them as follow thee, together. 85 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Quran), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist). 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 You will know the truth of the matter after a while.” 88
