Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ha-Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 2 Behold, in the heavens as well as on earth there are indeed messages for all who [are willing to] believe. 3 And in the creation of yourselves and the fact that animals are scattered (through the earth), are Signs for those of assured Faith. 4 and in the alternation of the night and day, in the provision Allah sends down from heaven with which the earth is revived after its death, and in the changing about of the winds, there are signs for people who understand. 5 These are the revelations of God which We recite to you for a genuine purpose. In what statements other than God's and His revelations will they then believe? 6 Woe to every sinful liar, 7 Who heareth the revelations of Allah rehearsed unto him, and yet persisteth with stiff-neckedness as though he heard them not. Announce thou unto him, then, a torment afflictive. 8 When he learns about some of Our revelations, he mocks them. Such people will suffer a humiliating torment. 9 There is Hell before them; and whatever they have earned will not avail them in the least, nor those whom they take as friends apart from God. There is great chastisement for them. 10 This (Quran) is a guidance. And those who disbelieve in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, for them there is a painful torment of Rijz (a severe kind of punishment). 11
