Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
