The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And by the Day promised, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
