Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
