Hast thou not observed thine lord - how He hath stretched out the shadow? And if He had willed He would have made it still. Then We have made the sun for it an indication. 45 Then We withdraw it to Us a gradual concealed withdrawal. 46 And He it is Who made the night a covering for you, and the sleep a rest, and He made the day to rise up again. 47 And He it is Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy, and We send down pure water from the sky,- 48 so that We may bring life to a dead land; and slake the thirst of Our creation; cattle and men, in great numbers. 49 And We distribute it among them in various ways that they may ponder and reflect; yet most men disdain everything but denial and thanklessness. 50 And if We had pleased We would certainly have raised a warner in every town. 51 so do not yield to those who deny the truth, but strive with the utmost strenuousness by means of this [Quran, to convey its message to them]. 52 ۞ And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition. 53 And He it is Who has created man from the water, then He has made for him blood relationship and marriage relationship, and your Lord is powerful. 54 And they worship such, other than Allah, which neither benefit nor hurt them; and the disbeliever helps the devil instead of his Lord. 55 Yet [withal, O Prophet,] We have sent thee only as a herald of glad tidings and a warner. 56 Tell them: "I do not ask any recompense of you for this other than (urging) whoever likes may take the way to his Lord." 57 And trust the Living One Who will never die, and praising Him proclaim His Purity; and He is Sufficient upon the sins of His bondmen, All Aware. 58 It is He who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days and then He established His domination over the Throne. He is the Beneficent God. Refer to Him as the final authority. 59 Yet when they [who are bent on denying the truth are told, "Prostrate yourselves before the Most Gracious" they are wont to ask, "And [who and] what is the Most Gracious? Are we to prostrate ourselves before whatever thou biddest us [to worship]?" - and so [thy call] but increases their aversion, ۩ 60
