Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah) 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 We already know how much of them (of their bodies) the earth will consume. With Us there is a Book that contains all records. 4 Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah). 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 And tall date-palms laden with clusters ranged. 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood, 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No indeed; but they are in uncertainty as to the new creation. 15
