Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Reality (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)! 1 How tremendous is the true event! 2 And what do you know what that indubitable event is? 3 Thamood and Ad cried lies to the Clatterer. 4 Thamood, they were destroyed by the violent shout (of Gabriel), 5 And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind 6 Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms! 7 Canst thou (O Muhammad) see any remnant of them? 8 Then came the Pharaoh, and those before him whose habitations were overthrown while they were committing crimes. 9 They disobeyed the Messenger of their Lord and He seized them with torment which increased with time. 10 Verily when the water rose to great heights, We bore you upon a floating vessel (i.e. the Ark) 11 In order to make it a warning for you, and that the ear retentive may preserve it. 12 When a single blast is blown on the trumpet, 13 the earth and mountains will be raised up high and crushed all together. 14 On that Day shall the (Great) Event come to pass. 15 And the heaven will split asunder so on that day it will be unstable. 16 and will turn frail, losing all force. The angels will be around the heavens and on that day eight of them will carry the Throne of your Lord above all the creatures. 17 On that day ye will be exposed; not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he shall say, 'Here, take and read my book! 19 Certainly I thought that I should encounter my reckoning.' 20 And he will be in a life of Bliss, 21 In a lofty Paradise, 22 its fruits are near. 23 We shall say to him, "Eat and drink joyfully as a reward for the good deeds you did in days gone by." 24 But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record 25 "And that I had never known, how my Account is? 26 “Alas, if only it had been just death.” 27 My wealth has not availed me, 28 [and] all my power of argument has died away from me!" 29 Lay hold of him and chain him; 30 then cast him in the Fire, 31 then in a chain of seventy cubits' length insert him! 32 “Indeed he refused to accept faith in Allah, the Greatest.” 33 nor did he feel any urge to feed the needy, 34 “So he does not have any friend here this day.” 35 nor any food save the filth 36 which no one will eat except the sinners. 37

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
