T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
