The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
O thou wrapped up (in the mantle)! 1 Arise and deliver thy warning! 2 And your Lord do magnify, 3 And your garments purify! 4 And uncleanliness avoid 5 And do not through giving seek thyself to gain, 6 And for the sake of your Lord, be patient. 7 And [warn all men that] when the trumpet-call [of resurrection] is sounded, 8 Surely that day will be a day of anguish, 9 Dolorous for the unbelievers. 10 Leave Me with him whom I created alone, 11 and appointed for him ample wealth 12 And sons present by his side. 13 whose life I have made run smoothly 14 and yet, he greedily desires that I give him even more! 15 By no means! Verily he hath been unto Our signs a foe. 16 I shall soon constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 He planned and plotted. 18 But may he be cursed how he plotted; 19 Again, death seized him, how was his determining! 20 Then he looked round; 21 Then he frowned and scowled; 22 Then he turned back and was proud; 23 And said: "This is nothing but the magic of old, 24 “This is nothing but the speech of a man.” 25 I will soon fling him into hell. 26 What do you think Hell-fire is? 27 It leaves and spares no one and nothing. 28 Darkening and changing the colour of man! 29 Over it are nineteen. 30 And We have appointed none but the angels to be wardens of the Fire. And their number we have made only a trial for those who disbelieve, so that those who are vouchsafed the Book may be convinced, and that those who believe may increase in faith, and that those who are vouchsafed the Book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the infidels may say: what meaneth Allah by this description! In this wise Allah sendeth astray whomsoever He will, and guideth whomsoever He will. And none knoweth the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but an admonition unto man. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
