Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a known extent. 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
