The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 and by the day as it appears radiantly, 2 And [by] He who created the male and female, 3 Indeed, your efforts are diverse. 4 Yet he who gives to others and has fear, 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness). 7 But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient. 8 And disbelieveth in goodness; 9 We will ease him toward difficulty. 10 Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit). 11 Surely Ours is it to show the way, 12 And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former. 13 Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire 14 None except the most wicked will enter it. 15 Who denied (the truth) and turned away. 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself 18 And who hath no favour from anyone to recompense. 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.
