And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend upon every lying, sinful one, 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
