Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 and the smooth runners 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
