The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 it is not a jest. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
