Hizb 38
< random >
The people of Noah denied the messengers 105 When their fellowman Nooh said to them, “Do you not fear?” 106 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 107 So be fearful of God and listen to me. 108 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds: 109 so fear God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed." 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 afterwards, We drowned the rest. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 122

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
