Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
AlifLaamMeem. 1 The revelation of this Book free of doubt and involution is from the Lord of all the worlds. 2 Will they say: he hath fabricated it? Aye! it is the truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest warn therewith a people unto whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may be guided. 3 It was Allah, who, in six days created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and then willed to the Throne. You have no guardian nor intercessor other than Him. Will you not remember? 4 He directs the affair from heaven to earth. Then it will ascend to Him in one day, a day whose value is a thousand years by your reckoning. 5 He is the knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the All-mighty, the All-compassionate, 6 The One Who created all things excellent, and Who initiated the creation of man from clay. 7 Then He made his progeny of an extract, of water held in light estimation. 8 Then He fashioned him and breathed into him something of a spirit from Him; and He ordained for you hearing and sight and hearts. Little is the thanks ye return. 9 And they say: "What! when we lie, hidden and lost, in the earth, shall we indeed be in a Creation renewed? Nay, they deny the Meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Tell them: “The angel of death who has been charged with your souls shall gather you, and then you shall be brought back to your Lord.” 11
