۞ O mankind! it is you who stand in need of Allah, but Allah is Rich (Free of all wants and needs), Worthy of all praise. 15 If He so wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new mankind [in your stead]: 16 This is well within the power of God. 17 And no burdened soul will carry another soul’s burden; and if a burdened soul calls another to share the burden, no one will carry any part of it, even if he is a close relative; O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), your warning only benefits those who fear their Lord without seeing and who keep the prayer established; and whoever cleansed himself, has cleansed for his own benefit; and towards Allah only is the return. 18 Not equal are the blind and the seeing man, 19 nor are darkness and light 20 shade and heat are not alike, 21 nor are the living and the dead. God causes whom He will to hear Him, but you cannot make those who are in their graves hear you. 22 You are purely a Herald of Warning. 23 We have sent you in all truth as a bearer of glad news and a warner. No nation who lived before was left without a warner. 24 If they reject you, (know that) others who lived before them had also rejected their Messengers, Messengers who had brought them miracles, scriptures, and the enlightening Book 25 So We seized the unbelievers. How great was the change I wrought in their condition then! 26
