Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
