Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
