Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 He will be plunged in flaming Fire, 3 together with his wife, that carrier of evil tales, 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
