Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble, writers 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
