O believers, fight the unbelievers who are near to you; and let them find in you a harshness; and know that God is with the godfearing. 123 And whenever a new surah is revealed some of the hypocrites ask the believers (in jest): "Whose faith has increased because of this?" As for those who believe, it will certainly increase their faith, and they are joyful over that. 124 As for those whose hearts are diseased, they will be increased in filth added to their filth, so that they die as unbelievers. 125 Do they not see that they are tried every year once or twice? Yet still they do not repent, nor do they remember. 126 And whenever a Surah is sent down they look on at each other as though saying: observeth you anyone? Thereafter they turn to go; Allah hath turned their hearts, for verily they are people who understand not. 127 Certainly an Apostle has come to you from among yourselves; grievous to him is your falling into distress, excessively solicitous respecting you; to the believers (he is) compassionate, 128 But if those [who are bent on denying the truth] turn away, say: "God is enough for me! There is no deity save Him. In Him have I placed my trust, for He is the Sustainer, in awesome almightiness enthroned." 129
