We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left. 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 And the hardship of death came with the truth; “This is what you were escaping from!” 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 (He will be told), "You were completely heedless of this day. We have removed the veil from your eyes and your vision will now be sharp and strong". 22 And his companion will say: this is that which with me is ready. 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter, 25 Who set up with Allah another god. So cast him ye twain into the torment severe. 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 [And] He will say: "Contend not before Me, [O you sinners,] for I gave you a forewarning [of this Day of Reckoning]. 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29
