And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 and say, 'Surely, I am the manifest warner.' 89 Even as We sent down on the dividers 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 Of what they used to do. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 We suffice thee against the mockers, 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
