T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
